Four generations of the Jones Family have been toiling their land, crafting some of New Zealand's finest wines from both the Wairau and Awatere Valleys. They make Sauvignon Blanc with wow factor, and fruit from their vineyards is also sold off to other prestigious brands responsible for many of this country's finest examples.
They craft a more serious and textural wine than your average commercial brand, with an ultra-consistent style that has won them many accolades over the years. The 2021 vintage provided astonishing fruit quality, allowing award-winning winemaker Dave Clouston, to craft yet another show-stopping Sauvignon.
Plump, rich, passionfruit and tropical flavours are backed up by a subtle blackcurrant and herb edge. Its plush texture and bright acidity are hallmarks of the Starborough style. Vibrant and focussed with a persistent finish that leaves you longing for more.
