Spey River Bourbon Cask Finish has been matured in traditional American oak casks until it has achieved the perfect balance of flavours, only then the whisky is then transferred into first fill American Bourbon casks to allow the secondary maturation which adds to its complex character and refined depth of flavour.
Aroma: A rich malty aroma with hints of breakfast cereal and cooked fruits. Some green leafy character and a touch of fresh cut grass.
Taste: A crisp, fresh flavour with malty sweetness and delicate oak notes. Subtle spice and hints of toasted almonds.
Finish: Clean on the palate with lingering sweetness.
