A brand new project from local icon Brent Marris (The Ned and Marisco), Leefield Station is a historic sheep farm dating back to the 1840s. The land has excellent viticulture potential and will now be a mixed used property where sheep and grapes will co-exist before making their way to the table together.
Smells
Ripe tropical flavours including peach, guava, melon and citrus.
Tastes
Fleshy and very mellow, the wine has a beautiful purity and undeniable energy, the finish long and refreshing. Pretty much the benchmark Marlborough style with slightly more friendly acidity, this Leefield Station is a memorable debut for what we suspect will become an iconic wine.
