- French oak
- Coffee beans & chocolate
- Berry jam
- Velvet tannins
Clear deep ruby-purple colour. Clean and distinguished aromas of black cherries, strawberries, roasted coffee beans and chocolate. On the palate, notes of berry jam, balanced with light vanilla, a hint of milk chocolate and roasted Java bean. The wine is luscious, full-bodied, with firm but ripe velvety tannins and a long finish.
100% Tempranillo grapes were grown on 30+ year old spur bush vines on Spanish plateau at an altitude of 600-800m. The climate is extreme continental with long hot summer.
Grapes were harvested in the second hald of September and cold macerated at 5ºC for 48 hours. Following this, they were frementated at 24-28ºC for 12-18 days then left to age for 4 months in 1-2 year old French oak barrels.
